Reflection

The contemporary theory and practice about online identities, virtual communities and online activism provided in that course that really enhances my understandings between my self-identity and the Internet. The course is providing a opportunity for us to rethink about our community and identity. Undoubtedly, the Internet and Computer-mediated Communication (CMC) is going to become a irreplaceable segment in our everyday life. Honestly, I really can’t image my life without Internet.

Within my daily experience of using the Internet, I really to start thinking about my identity, and what is the different between online screen life and off screen life. To know more about what kind of “being” in the net is something impressed me. As cyberspace is inevitably become more important, that is worth for us to identify the “real” meaning of engagement in the Net.
